SEIU Conference Program

Role: Design and print production

SEIU 775 (Service Employees International Union) represents more than 45,000 long-term care workers. They are an innovative union working to improve the lives of their members and community. For the 15th anniversary of their leadership conference they wanted to redesign their conference program. The ask was to create a piece that was celebratory and could also be used as a template for future conferences.

The goal of the program was to inform and inspire the conference attendees. It included schedules, way finding, and workshop descriptions. Their members are of an older age and speak many different languages, so accessibility was a major priority.

The program needed to be clean and easy to read, and produced in six different languages. The translation portion of the design process was a lot of fun. I worked side by side with the six different language speakers. All of them from within the union.
